Bryant, I agree with you. I have seen quite a few pits that didn't make the grade, but when I had a good one, they were hard to beat. The way we hunt, we have one catchdog and no guns. The dog has to be reliable to never let go. I have seen dogs other than pits catch well, but there was a pack of 2 or 3. I know a lot of guys run a couple of catchdogs and they don't take nearly the beating one dog would have to take.
