One thing I would add to my previous post that others have touched on is I would be VERY hesitant to cut one or two bulldogs to a group that is bayed. Maybe if you are really close and the situation is marginally under control but just cutting them loose where you cant see the hogs all you can hear is dogs barking and hogs chattering is a very un-nerving situation. A few weeks ago we watch the dogs bay and break and bay over and over again on about 25+ grown hogs and we had three catch dogs ready to rumble, but if there are even three or four boars in that bunch that know anything they are gonna wreck shop on everything you have on the ground!
That's exactly what happened to me a week ago, except I only got one cut on one of my dogs. I guess I got lucky with it being 10 boars/barrs
