Hah!- I thought I was the only one that had this problem! LOL
While working my way through school, I was a K-9 officer for our local Sheriff's Department. I worked a dual purpose dog (narcotics as well as apprehension) and he was a firecraker and I sure miss that dog. He and I had some good times and made alot of dope arrest on I-10 coming from Texas into Louisiana.
However, if I used him in a situation where he had to do alot of work (crowd control, criminal tracking) and he didn't get to bite a suspect, he would crap in the car. I took me awhile before I realized it was only when he got worked up and didn't bite somebody. I guess it was his way at getting back at me for all that adrenaline, and no climax! I tried everything, shock collar, beat downs, taking him to the park for 20 minutes to calm down - it didn't matter, if he didn't get a bite after tracking a suspect then the trustees at the jail got a stinky car wash. He would sometimes wait 2 ours, but sooner or later, he was crapping in the unit! I seriously thought about just letting him bite the SOB to keep me from having that smell in the car!
