I just like to see the bay, and see the CD hit the hog, so ill get as close as i can trying to lay eyes on the hog. Now if it was real thick, and i didn't think i could get close without making a bunch of noise id let the CD go at the edge of the thick stuff. And if the hog was bayed in a wide open field i may be pretty far away when i let the CD go.
I think most of us would like to see a bay, but catching the hog takes priority, sometimes you have to make a judgement call.
