I think everybody will agree it depends on each situation! I think that you should be confident that your catch dog will get to the bay from what ever the distance. What I see up here is a lot of these kids turn a so called catch dog loose and they never make it to the bay. Then they end up loosing them/leaving them and that's a whole nother story! JMO
