If you have been successful at training J.R.'s you ought to stick to you game plan with this new dog and be just fine. You could stick him on a few canned hunts for pigs while blood training, just so he knows which side of a live pig is the dangerous one. But once he's achieved some level of success at trailing and he finds a wounded hog at the end of the blood trail I'm pretty sure bulldog nature will take over and you better get to him quick.
