I've got a reel on my speargun that holds 180' of  500# braid, but it sometimes gets jammed   At that point all you can do is hope that you "stoned"(shot to the center skull paralyzing the fish) the fish.   I try never to shoot an AJ anywhere else, but have just about lost my gun several times from misplaced shots.
