I wasn't trying to down you or your dogs. Like you said, you asked for opinions. I am just looking at the fact that you don't want open trailing dogs, and this dog does it. If it is something that you can live with breed him. It is just a lot easier to start with dogs that have the traits you want your finished product to have. I know that even breeding dogs that suit me perfectly I still don't get what I'm looking for out of more than maybe 2 pups per litter.
They're gonna be your dogs so more power to you. Whatever you do, best of luck.
