I think its great to be content with your pack, but dogs get old & bad things happen from time to time. I like to always have a young dog in the making. If he cuts the mustard thats great. If he doesn't; cull. You never know when your next hard headed pup could surpass your #1 dog. Right now, I have a couple of descent dogs and a young dog that gets better with every hunt. I also have a pup or two on the way(I think
) that are out of some great dogs. 2 different litters, but one of them may be my best dog in a couple of years.
