All the difference in the world to a fat short legged guy like me! I guess you could say they are a 3/4 chap with 3 buckles for the legs instead of a zipper. They are actually cooling in the summer and warm and dry in the winter in my opinion.
They sure come in handy doing any kind of work or hunting a horseback.
Its like gloves for your legs.

You can bet em hog hunting hogs and elk. If I was a cowboy I would definately us a pair! Besides all that, they are just plain cool looking! lol
