i have a full blood english hound that is slient on track until he bays thats running a broke bay or trailing in cold sign.have seen him run n trail a hog that broke bay for 5miles never said a word till he bayed.he just turned out like that just luck. looked up some people who raised some dogs out of his line none were silent.he will open a little on track with other hounds on a bear but not a hog.
