as long as the kennel (birthing pen) is cleaned once real good before the pups are born it should be fine....i would recomend not letting the gyp in and out.....she will bring the virus in and out on her feet.....just leave her and pups in kennel till they have there shots atleast 2 (the higher the quality of the vaccine the better....i use duramun by fort doge your vet will have a good quality vaccine as well)and you are ready to wean them. keep up the sub-q fluids and pepto .... we usually dont give any food untill the pup stops vomiting.... sometimes a empty tummy is better....maybe give him some 1 cc karo syrup to keep him from getting hypoglycemic( low blood sugar) 2 x a day mix it with a couple cc of water so its not to rich. hope this helps. let us know how they are doing.
