classic=johnson ......hybred = johnson/standard cross but you dont mention the standard ab in your question? in the ab lines these are the performance bred dogs a  hunter would have on his yard for a catch dog if it where an ab,or atleast i would....not a classic or hybred.a pit can make a fine catchdog too.
