One of my dogs was originally hunted out in West Texas/ Davis Mountains. My buddy would turn her out on a 40k acre ranch and often times he would end up on the neighbors place bayed.  That same dog can be hunted in the Houston area on a thousand acres with no problem. Take her out to Flatonia and she is often out several miles....  I would not know how to define her "range" other than to say, she might get a little rangy depending on the area you are hunting... If I told someone she was long range, she would be at my feet Wink
