Well, I am sure there will be a new post later, the boys got into the hogs this morning.  They wanted to go last night and there just wasn't anything happening so after about 30 minutes they came home and left about 5 a.m. first field good sow. Lesson....while walking in on the dogs caught about 10 feet away was a boar lying down, I took time to show the boys why it was important to pay attention while moving in so no one gets hurt.  We stood around and let the dogs work and watched the boar sneak out, I know one got away, but only at the expense of a good lesson.  Loaded up and took off to another field at the end they got into a sow w/pigs and a boar.  Caught the sow and tied her for training young dogs.  I'm sure they will post photos on a new thread later, they are on there way to ice down the meat from the one and eat a potatoe, egg, bacon and cheese taco at the local taco shop.  They could have caught another hog or two with one or two better dogs, if anyone knows where to find good short range dogs without problems let them know.  The fields they hunt do not require jam up go yonder kindof dogs, but quality short range dogs, better if they are a little rough in these grain fields to shut them down quick.  Thanks
