i would just hate for one of my dogs to get killed or hurt with me not there. I think that no matter who had the dog when it got killed, i would still be mad about it and always think that i could have done more to keep him alive. jmo. so i just dont do it. I have only lost one dog to a hog in the four years i have been hunting. and still have the same catch dog and two curs that i started with. and caught many big hogs with them. But all it takes is one.
MAN THAT IS EXACTLY HOW I FEEL!!! NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENED I WOULD BE MAD B/C I WANT TO KNOW THAT I WAS THERE TO DO EVERYTHING THAT I COULD TO SAVE IT AND I GUESS I DONT TRUST MANY PEOPLE LIKE I TRUST MYSELF. Thanks for the responses fellas!
