i guess it's all in all in who you trust. If you don't think a friend will do everything he can to save your dog then don't let them take 'em. i ask friends to take make dogs if i can't go. if something would happen then that is a chance that i took to hopfully make my dog better!! if i didn't think that person would treat my dog like his, then i wouldn't hunt with that person anyway. same goes with equipment, if the person using it won't treat it like his then its a no go!! my dogs aren't that good anyway, so i don't have people knocking my door down to borrow a dog!!!!
