I've hunted several golf courses. Most of them own the woods around them, but the ones that don't can usually convince the surrounding landowner's to let you on their properties. They also allow us the drive trucks/atvs on their cart paths or let you use their golf carts. It depends on the size of the course, you can walk it or if it's a large one, drive it and road the dogs in front of you.

Try the short range dogs first and catch them on or near the course.

If that doesn't work, and the land is available, go in at daylight with a longer range dog that will track to them. They could be traveling a pretty good distance every night to hit the course. Good luck!
