I feed them what they can eat in five minutes or so. Then once I know I don't care about that other than see how they look. I may up it a little or cut it back a little. I feed once a day or twice a day for pups. In the Winter for every ten degree drop I increase the food but am watching their weight. There is a formula but I just keep an eye out for proper wieght od the dogs. If they get the runs or poop too much I know I am over feeding or they have worms.
