I have used the devastator and gaurdian kevlar both. I haven't had any bad cuts through either, although i had one tiny insignificant poke that went through the gaurdian Kevlar (not counting leg flaps) but just barely. I got the gaurdian because my pit kept getting cut under his jaw, and it worked great. I think I prefer the devastator because of the light weight and flexibility, but I wouldn't hesitate to use either. one note, If I was going to buy a new devastator I'd try it on or get it custom made and make sure it fits OVER whatever cut collar you want to use. Others might have different opinions, but that's what I've had the best luck with on my short necked pits.
