At what age would you call your dog silent?  I know it's got alot of variables just curious.

I would say at the age they start running their own track.

The strain of mtn curs I hunted were semi open on track as pups but the older they got most became silent unless the track was smoking hot or they would open a little if the hog broke bay. If they were hunted several times a week or more they would tend to be even quieter on the track.
