I would think that you would train one much like you would a schtuzhund trained dog, if you want them to behave and not whine. Saw a video I think someone referred it on this website of a guy that raised his pups with the wild baby pig, seemed to work well for him. Not everyone has patience to raise and train one like that when in the back of your mind he may parish to the tusk of a big boar. I have even heard of a fellow that had a couple of pits that walked beside his horse while the other dogs where out hunting and they didn't go in to catch until they were sent. It can be done, most want something now, again one that behaves like we are talking could cost money and with a short life span most do not want to pay. I hate it also, I go with my son and friends from time to time and they have a pit that will not shut up and it irritates the sh!^ out of me, but he is a nut catching machine on a moving hog.
