I put over 6500 "HARD" miles on my Honda Foreman 450 and they thing finally fell apart around me except the motor.  It still cranked right up and didnt smoke at all.  My ranger has nearly 2000 miles on it, but I drive it a lot on the road around crops and I am fairly decent to it as far as taking care of it compared to my Foreman and I have replaced belts, rearends, cv joints, on it totaling half of what I paid for it.  The Honda Foreman is about a tough a machine and practical as you can get for hog hunting.  I wouldnt get ES though.  Standard shift is much more practical and lasts longer.
