Have seen a jadg wind a hog then bay it in its bed. I really doubt the hog moved at all. 400 yards. I dont doubt a dog can wind a hog at 800, just very few that can.
If you are catching hogs then who cares how you do it. I wish I had a dog that could ride the hood.
