I just hope you can find a BMC that is half the dog of those you are describing and trying to get rid of... Sounds to me like you need to get rid of the catahoulas and keep the 1/2 plotts.
I am not trying to be rude but too many people put too much emphasis on silent dogs when the right semi-silent/open dogs catch just as many. In your case probably more. Why don't you leave those 2 dogs at home and see how many hogs the catahoulas strike and catch and then leave the cats at home and take the 2 pups out for a few hunts and be honest with yourself and think about all the pros and cons and then make a decision based on facts.
Sounds to me like ole T-bob is fixing to make a great deal.
