agteach: I agree dogs don't run deer off a place. However, even trash-broke dogs can still ruin a deer hunt while they are looking for hogs. I don't want to see dogs or hogs while I am deer hunting. As far as trash-broke goes, at this point my dogs are game producers in that nobody knows what they are chasing from one minute to the next! They would be good frontier dogs. I've got one pup that has dirt on her nose pretty regular for some reason.
M Bennet: I agree that landowners don't on the game on their land. Although, if someone owns or leases land they should be able to hunt without someone else's dogs running all around their place. I agree it's wrong to shoot the dog because its not the dog's fault. It's the dog's owners fault for putting the dog in that situation.
Does anyone know if a dog owner can be charged with something for letting his dog across a property line, if the dog's owner never crosses?
