Just wait until they are around 10-12 years old. They will scare you to death with the crazy chances they take!
Give em time and let them figure things out for themselves with good coaching from dad. A healthy respect for wild hogs may even spare a few ER trips down the road. 

My son is 19 and in college now. He is one of the best hog hands I know but some of the stunts he pulled on big hogs when he was growing up has taken a few years off his old mans life!
