I believe your on to something. Growing up as a kid, there were lots of cowdogs around. They were always consider leopard curs. They came in every shape and color. The tranq. gun took their place, so the dogs sort of disappeared. When I got back around cowdogs and hog dogs they're all called differently. Got me really confused. Its like registered cattle, some like red, some black, some with horns, and some without etc. their all cows to me.
