I've never played hockey in my life. No hat trick here.  I could never match John's skills at that, so why try.  Believe it or not I actually did in fact go mono-e-mono with him. I slipped up behind him. As I eased in closer(within 4 feet), I whispered to catch him. Ira kept his attention long enough for me to reach underwater, and grab his tail. Once I had him off his rear legs, I slid the blade into the sweet spot. The stream turned red, and I knew I could let go. When I grabbed him, the dogs had dove on. They held him until his body went limp. They all let go, except Ira. It was funny, the current kept the hog moving, and Ira was still thinking he needed to hold on. I finally told him it was over.  Several times before I had made my move the boar bluffed me. It warmed my blood up quick-like.  We don't get snow often, so it really made it neat for the memory bank.
