No Clue!

i love taking new people hunting but that is one of the very reasons im very cautious about who i take...for instance a good friend of mine has been in just about every type of dog hunting there is whichever is popular at the time now this dude knows how to handle dogs and has had a pack of hogdogs before his father in law helped me get into the sport along time ago but thats it he doesnt know a thing about genetics or breeding or proper training ive offered to take him and his two boys hunting a few times and even offered to give him a pup off a litter next thing i know he tells me on our way to work that he is putting him a pack together and i hated to be rude but i was upfront with him that i didnt mind him taggin along on hunts but that me and my hunting buddys had enough dogs of our own to train and hunt....again i offer him a pup later and when i have a litter i keep all of them until i pick out wich ones i want which thier usually around 6 months the ones who dont make our culled and the rest our GIVEN to my close hunting buddies he preceeds to tell me that he is coming to get his pup at 6 weeks old that he has been in the dog business along time and knows that people only give away culls at that age and that he is getting a gyp well this particular litter there was only one gyp and she is staying here needless to say i tell him he can find him a pup elsewhere...again being a good person i tell him when season opens up in the wma by our house he can go with us now you have to hunt this by boat and now he was telling me how he was riding with me this that and the other totally dependent on somebody else...i gues you can tell by now he wont be doing any hunting with me in the near future...just an example of the ppl we have to deal with and he isnt the only one i have to deal with people like him all the time
