6 inch, sharp point, full tang with finger guard so it don't slip if you get on top of a rib, cheap. In that order.
Also, I like nylon scabbard over leather for these, better air to dry.
Leather holds moisture (blood) and the acids can ruin it (leather and steel both) if you forget to wash/dry it everytime.
