Kabar USMC survival knife with the 6 7/8" blade. Sharpen the blade and the top side of the blade about 1 inch starting at the tip. This knife is bad to the bone and lasts forever if taken care of. I soaked the sheath in lins seed oil to water proof it and this also keeps the blade from rusting.
Overall length is 12 inches and not heavy or bulky. I have cut saplings 2" in diameter and the knife still holds an edge.
