I show my CD pup's a pig when they are around 3 months old, and then after that, I dont let them catch anything until they are around 8 months, and thats to just make sure they have all there adult teeth in and set. but you can tell if your pup is going to want a hog or not by puting him on a leash and showing him hogs , or why your bay dogs are baying one in a pen have him on a leash and he should want to join in the game. its just what I do to buy time while I am waiting on that time to pass.
