On the bay dogs, the sooner the better!!!!  Keep it easy and fun, and make sure the pup always wins!  Always take the hog away with the dog wanting more.  Increase difficulty, i.e. bigger hogs/longer head start/etc. as the pups develope...  and most importantly... LOTS AND LOTS OF HOGS!!! Grin
X2 I started my cat pup at 4 months in the woods and he's been huntin ever sence he's a year old now and finding bayin and catchin any thing under 150 but the sooner the better on baydogs but on my catchdogs I wait until about a year to catch but at about 5-6 months I introduce them to a hog meanin let him around the baypen and try to antagonize him until he's flippin out lol but tease the heck out of him and he'll catch guaranteed
