 When it comes to passing laws restricting what you can and cant do its a very slippery slope. While I do agree that pits aren't naturally mean, they are very determined and driven. So what ever the owner teaches this dog to go after....theres no stopping the dog once its in its head that something is prey. Thats what makes a pit dangerous in my opinion. Because our pits have always been the most loveable dogs in our pack.

 Now to answer your question, yes if they passed a law requiring me to register my pit and keep it in a certain type of enclosure, I would be happy to do it. As far as backing those types of laws being passed, I wouldn't do it. In my opinion we have way too many laws now. I think that this world needs more common sense and less laws.
