Better dog is a straight American pointer, they bred to wipe out huge pastues searching for quail, why hunt a 1/2 brred dog anyway?? waste of time with the roll of dice to me

Is that straight pointer gonna catch every 200-300 pound hog it sees by itself ?
I like my curs to have a little bulldog in em. They will back up & bay on a big rank hog alone but it's a done deal when another one gets there or if you get there & tell them to catch it.
I don't want to carry 6-12 dogs to the woods to catch a hog. 2 sometimes 3 is plenty.
The properties we hunt aren't very big & you have to shut them down quick before they hit the next property. If I had 2 good bulldogs that hunted like curs that's what I would use.
I'm into catching hogs not baying em or running em for miles.
Everybody hunts different. Different places require different types of dogs.
I know them Georgia guys put a lot of swine on the ground with bird/bull crosses.
