If you got lil patches to hunt then i agree, dilute them with a bull dog to slow them down a bunch, i thought you guys might be hunting large palces like 3ooo acres or better and could road dogs all night. It does sure make a differnece where and what size places you hunt for sure. Now i get what you are after, you want a dog that can strike and bay or catch, like a cur/pit bull, or pit/hound or even a German Shepard/pit type dog for small places. It would not make sense to hunt a American Pointer that would end up 2 countys over when he did not find a hog right away.
