I have a Miller x Elhew male Pointer that hunts at nearly 7 mph in a quail pasture. My pointer gyp is Fiddler bred and she runs about 5 1/2 mph. But she will bay the hair off a hog in a pen. I have never taken her to the hoods looking for a hog because she is a good bird dog, but I just believe she would be a good one once she made the switch.
