BMC or Catahoula sometimes will make better hunting dogs when crossed with hounds. I would not try to force these pups to bay. Put a good bay dog in the pen and tie the pups outside close to the pen where they can see what is going on. Do this every 2 or 3 weeks to see if they fire up. Once they want in let them in with an experienced dog. Just don't let them bay too long or they will get bored with it.
Some dogs take up to a year or longer to want to hunt or bay.
