The only way to be for sure is to do a skin scrape. There are different types of mange. It's a mite that causes it and can only be seen through microscope. If it's demodex than the puppy could have a big problem. Two things with demodex first it's hereitary second thing the puppy has a weak immune system. If it's the scabie type of mange than you can fix that but it's contagious to humans and to dogs. There all types of home remedies: nu- stock, broax, ACV, happy jack, motor oil the list goes on. I would suggest before you do anything find out want you're dealing with. The last thing you want to do is is start treating scabie mange than find out you have demodex mange.
