Quinton I'm gonna say no its not worth the money to replace your dc 30s. The only real improvement is the charging design. The first dc 40 I had was junk. It wouldn't pick up past 400 yds I took it back to bass pro to get a dc 30 and they only had dc 40s. So I got a dc 40 and it works just fine but they cut in and out like every one says.
