I have one bay dog thiswas his 4th porcupine and this is the first one he didn't latch on to but did sit back and bay and got lead training again for it. Never had a problem with them getting stuck in the eye yet. Usually get the quills pulled and back to hunting. Been on hogs aftetwards on most of them. Had 2 dogs get stuck in the mouth then was baying a hog. Couldn't figure out why they weren't catching until we got up on it and found out quick why. We got them bad up this way but they are slowly thinning out for some reason
. Only one way to break them off I reckon and pull quills and keep hunting until that day
