Spend the money on quality food.

Just as with dogs, vehicles, or anything else for that matter more money doesn't necessarily mean better quality.  Compare ingredient lists, analysis ratios, etc. and then make an educated decision.

If one single brand pleased everyone, there would only be one brand on the market.

This is true. In my experience, if corn or some other grain was the first ingredient listed, our dogs poo was runny. I found a feed that had meat as the first ingredient and now its fine.
