Dont mean to steel this thread but Matt I didnt know you had Slick now....he is looking real good!!!

I would like the chance one day to try a great dane/pit  or  great dane/dogo, but im not sure about a pure great dane though, I would have to see one catch in person.

yes cristina i have had him for about 6 months now.  he has been on about 70 pigs now.  Far from finished but on the way.  He is my favorite dog and probably the best i have ever owned. 

Ok sorry for going of topic on post.  i agree with most, if your looking for speed i can see you crossing with other dogs, but me personally wouldn't want a full blood dane.  I like the size of my slick dog. The legs help him a lot which i assume came from the dane.  He is not too big and not too small in my eyes.  He goes through fences like any other cur dog.  A dane may be hard and use there nose well, but for me not crossing fences is a problem.
