I do understand your predicament....I'm just about in the same boat here in north Bama.....not many hogs to hunt and some rough territory to boot. I agree with T-Bob....you're going to go though some dogs and maybe some hunting 'buddies'.....but the cream will rise to the top and you will make it happen. I will give you this bit of advice, don't get in too big of a hurry to have the best dogs and kill a bunch of hogs.....take it easy and let it happen for you. You've made a good step in the right direction by joining this forum....there's a wealth of info for you to tap into here.....so use it and enjoy your new found sport. You can find a cold nosed dog in just about any breed....having some hound in one doesn't hurt though. Good luck and hope this helps you out.
