Alan I have just always heard that if you a fan pups you have to make sure they can get out of the wind from it.  A fan on them all the time can cause respitory infections from I have read.  Also a direct fan on them in the middle of the day can be like a convection over and will dehydrate the pups just like it would you or me.  I would definitely put an indirect fan in the kennel for air movement but I guess what I should have said is that I wouldnt put a fan directly on them and leave it like that.
