Thanks guys, ol' Shine seems to be pullin' out of it a bit I hope! She was up jumpin' at the gate as I pulled in tonight... she'd not done much but sleep, puke, and diarreah since Saturday.... ended up runnin' two bags of saline through her Saturday night, she just couldn't keep anything down. She's lost about 10-15#'s, but her chit is back solid, I'm feedin' her a lil' bit, but she's still not drinking like she should. Still visibly dehydrated, pinch her skin and it stays in a bunch, better than yesterday though... so I think she's on the mend.
Been pourin' the heat to these older dogs the last few mnths... with hungry pups waitin' in the flanks, been pushin' these dogs to the edge to see what they can really take... just figures it would be my Shine to blow a gasket first..
... always seems the ones you like the most go first... the ones you "tolerate" you can't kill if you tried
I appreciate the well wishes for my Shine, hopefully she'll be back to huntin' before long!
We'll do it again soon Mark, I just gotta survive this wk of on call and we'll make a plan!
