A friend?

I had a friend that I warned to chill out one night and he didnt , I had to stop drinking because I knew somthing bad was about to go down , long story short , there was over 50 against 4 , one knocked out ,two hid and me standing over my mouthy friend smoking anyone close , needless to say he went to the hospital with bloody eyes , broken ribs and a attitude ajustment , everyone wanted a free kick to his head and body , I believe if I was not there to try and get them off he would have been killed , he deserved a a$$ whippen , but it went way overboard , my wife was 8 months pregnant and said all she could see is my white shirt moving around
