If there was ONE thing u hated about dogs what would it be?
I can put up with fleas, ticks, flies, cleaning number 2, barking and so on, have NO PROBLEM with none of that ----BUT the one thing I hate and boy does it work my nerves is having to CHASE A DOG, when I call a dog he had better come to me because I HATE chasing them arnd, the big thing about that is the more I have to chase the more upset I get and once I catch up to him/her I cannot beat the crap outa them
, I have to PET them and be nice because if I don’t then next time it will be even worse ---
THAT is why I work so hard at the recall and WILL not hunt with folks who do not train the recall---one spends more time chasing dogs then hunting it seems sometimes boy is that frustrating.
Pard, easy to fix, buy a Tritronics shock collar, a chain choke collar, 10 foot of rope and the negative/postive enforcement book TriTronics sells. takes about 10 minutes a dog 5 days in a row, its not worth the agravation factor with dogs who dont know there name or comand load up, basically, you need to train them to come when the hear load up, or there name and load up while you have a shock collar on them and calling out the comand, if they dont come at first pop them with shock collar and then drag them into truck bed with the shock collar, chain choke collar and rope attached, it does not take long to break even a deaf hard headed dog to come to the truck and load up with a tritronics collar, so easy and fast and easy on the blood presure its not funy, plus the dog is worth more, you can hunt more places now and if they trash on off game you now have a collar to break them off. Buy the collar and the book, good luck.
