i agree with alot of whats been posted on this so far. i also have another idea that may or may not be happening and that is the runners who escape teachin other hogs to run and also runners teaching their babies to run so much to the point that it may be becoming a genetic trait in some hogs. personally i dont see catch dogs causing runners as we pretty much kill every single hog we catch. so if they are dead they cant show other to run lol. i do agree with the hogs in general becoming leery of dogs as some will run soon as they smell or see a dog anywhere. same as some hogs get to where they run the minute they see vehicles or headlights or even hear a motor. but we still do manage to get alot of hogs that we catch within 100 yards of the very first bark.
